Our
Mission
We are dedicated to bringing classical and contemporary dance to our community and giving adult dancers of all bodies, identities, and backgrounds opportunities to perform.
Our
Vision
Dance is a universal and transformative human language, but often barriers prevent people from having access to this moving art form. Whether it is lack of finances, an accessible venue, or no awareness of dance as an art form, they deserve to have the opportunity to be inspired and uplifted by dance. In the same way, adults who are passionate about performing are rarely afforded the opportunity to perform. Facet Dance Collective is committed to providing excellent quality performances while also bringing relatable stories and characters to the stage. We see value in classical and contemporary works. In these universal stories we relate to each other and build stronger communities.

Kelsey Maloney-Steiner
Kelsey began her dance journey as an adult and quickly fell in love. Kelsey co-founded Facet Dance Collective with the hopes of offering adult dancers of all levels, bodies, and skills opportunities to perform. Kelsey is a professional licensed mental health therapist by day and specializes in working with neurodivergence, eating disorders, and the intersection of dance and mental health.
As a dance educator, Kelsey is dedicated to establishing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students of all ages, body types, and abilities can acquire both technical proficiency and artistic prowess. She firmly embraces the concept that every body is a dance body. Kelsey's teaching repertoire spans ballet, contemporary, jazz, and improvisation, and she deeply treasures the creative journey, valuing the profound connections it forges among individuals through the expressive language of dance.
Kelsey is available to teach mental health seminars for dancers, dance privates, choreography, or dance teaching.

Jessica Maddox
Jessica fell in love with dance as a child, dancing ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop at a small recreational competition studio. She found a love for performing there, and that same love for performing inspired her to co-found Facet Dance Collective.
Jessica has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science (2015) and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2019). She loves incorporating her knowledge of biomechanics into the ballet classes she teaches. Jessica regularly attends teacher trainings, such as The Dance Mastery Summit and International Association of Dance Medicine and Science conference. She enjoys staying up-to-date on alignment, injury prevention/rehabilitation, teaching methods, and cross-training. She has completed the basic pointe fitter training through The Pointe Shop.
Jessica’s mission as a teacher is to empower dancers to get in touch with their bodies and instill the power of connection and storytelling through movement. She believes that anyone, regardless of age, body type, or ability, can be a dancer.
